Shiv Sena, BJP workers clash after Saamana's article on Ayodhya land row

The squabble arose after the Shiv Sena said in its mouthpiece Saamana that the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust should clear the air with regards to the Ayodhya land deal controversy. The BJP took exception to the remarks.
Clashes broke out between Shiv Sena and BJP workers in Mumbai's Dadar area on Wednesday after the youth wing of the BJP took out a protest march against 'offensive' remarks in the Sena mouthpiece Saamana on the alleged Ram Mandir land scam. The Mumbai Police registered two FIRs for the incident. While one FIR was filed against Sena workers for violence, another was registered against 30 BJP workers for carrying out protests without permission during the Covid-19 pandemic. “Regarding incident under the jurisdiction of Shivaji Park police station, two offences are registered. One offence u/s 188, 269 IPC, 51 of National Disaster Management Act against 30 persons and the second offence u/s 143, 147, 149, 392, 324, 323, 354, 509 IPC against 7 persons,” said Mumbai Police in a statement.More Related News
