Nancy Guthrie has several ailments that require care, a law enforcement bulletin revealed.
Nancy Guthrie, the missing mother of “Today” show host Savanna Guthrie, has high blood pressure and cardiac issues that require a pacemaker, according to a Pima County (Ariz.) Sheriff’s Office audio dispatch reported by People on Tuesday.
Sheriff Chris Nanos had previously said Guthrie, 84, required daily medication for undisclosed problems and not taking it could prove fatal. Investigators are desperately searching for Guthrie, who has been not been seen since Saturday night.
Authorities believe she has been kidnapped from her Tucson-area home. Reported evidence includes blood found at the scene, indications of forced entry and her personal effects left there. A car belonging to Guthrie, who has limited mobility, also remained at the house.
After interviewing Guthrie’s other daughter, Annie Guthrie, with whom Nancy Guthrie had dinner on Saturday night, Nanos estimated the time frame for her possible abduction between 9:30 p.m. Saturday night and 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
The elder Guthrie set off concern when she didn’t attend church service Sunday morning and the family called law enforcement a short time later.
