
Security guard kills self with revolver in West Bengal’s Alipurduar

Kapil Shobia, the security guard of the Chairman of the Jaigaon Development Authority in West Bengal’s Alipurduar, shot himself with his service revolver while on duty. The incident occurred on Wednesday and police are yet to ascertain the reason for his suicide.
A security guard shot himself with his service revolver in Jaigin town of West Bengal’s Alipurduar district on Wednesday, August 24. The deceased has been identified as Kapil Shobia.
Kapil Shobia was a security guard of Jaigaon Development Authority (JDA) chairman, Ganga Prasad Sharma. His body was recovered by the police from the JDA chairman’s house.
Police said Kapil Shoiba is a resident of Kalchini and shot himself while he was on duty. The reason for him resorting to the extreme measure is yet to be ascertained.
The deceased had been working as the JDS Chairman’s security guard job for the past one year.
