
Security forces gun down 3 militants in J&K’s Kulgam; cop shot in separate encounter in Anantnag

In an encounter in Anantnag, a policeman succumbed to injuries incurred during a gunfight with militants.
Three Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants, including a Pakistani national, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday. In another encounter in Anantnag, a policeman succumbed to injuries incurred during a gunfight with militants.
While one gun fight broke out in Kulgam district, another took place in Anantnag district both in south Kashmir.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
