Science writer Dr. Sudhindra Haldodderi passes away

Senior aeronautical scientist and science communicator in Kannada Dr. Sudhindra Haldodderi, 61, passed away in Bengaluru on July 2. He suffered cardiac arrest last week when he was driving back home and was undergoing treatment in the ICU. He is survived by his wife and daughter. His body has been donated to Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, as per his wishes.
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Friday pledged to mobilise people in resistance against the BJP-led Union government’s “anti-agricultural worker, anti-farmer, anti-worker, anti-people” laws and policies till they are all repealed, the party said on Friday. In a statement issued here, the CPI(M) said the members took the pledge following a three-day meeting held at Thiruvananthapuram.
