
School bus catches fire in Navi Mumbai, no injuries, casualties

A school bus, with four students, staff and a driver onboard, caught fire in the Khargar area of Maharashtra's Navi Mumbai on Monday afternoon. Firefighters were dispatched and the flames were doused within 15 minutes. No injuries or casualities were reported.
A school bus carrying students caught fire in the Kharghar area of Maharashtra’s Navi Mumbai on Monday. According to officials, there were no injuries or casualties reported in the incident.
The incident took place around 11.30 am in Sector 15 of Kharghar, stated an official from the fire department. Four students of a school, a staff member and a driver were present in the vehicle when it caught fire, added the official.
As soon as the incident was reported, fire personnel rushed to the spot and a water tanker was also dispatched to douse the flames.
According to the officials, the fire was put out within 15 minutes.
The exact reason for the fire is yet to be ascertained but officials stated that no injuries have been reported.
