The Supreme Court on Thursday asked the Delhi government why schools were still open in the national capital despite high pollution levels.
Schools, colleges and other educational institutions in Delhi resumed on November 29 after they were shut down for 15 days in view of high pollution level in the city. The Delhi government had passed the order on the direction of the Supreme Court.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
