Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released Rs 19,500 crore to over 9.75 crore farmers as part of the PM-Kisan scheme and noted how the country has seen the strength of its farmers during the pandemic. “We have seen the strength of India's farmers even at the time of pandemic. With record production, the government also made an effort to minimise the difficulties of farmers. From providing seeds and fertilisers, to helping the farmers take their produce to markets, the government made all efforts,” said PM Modi while releasing the funds on Monday.
