Saskatoon police investigate homicide in Riversdale area

The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating the death of a 35-year-old woman in the Riversdale area on Saturday as a homicide.
Officers were dispatched to a weapons call at a home in the 300 block of Avenue H South shortly after 1 p.m CST, according to a news release issued early Sunday morning.
Upon arrival, officers found the woman injured, the release said.
Police said both officers and paramedics began giving her life-saving measures before she was taken to Royal University Hospital. She died of her injuries shortly after.
Police believe the suspects and the victim knew each other.
The major crime and forensic identification units continue to investigate.
