
Sarpanch sets MNREGA official on fire in Telangana

The Sarpanch was forcing the technical assistant to approve wages for works taken up under the MNREGA.
A technical assistant who worked under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) was set on fire by a Sarpanch on Tuesday. The technical assistant named B Raju suffered burn injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he is under treatment. He has alleged that the Sarpanch of Sanvli village of Kubheer Mandal set him ablaze after dousing him with petrol.More Related News
