Following his interrogation, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said on Wednesday that the agency's Mumbai zonal director, Sameer Wankhede, would continue to lead the cruise ship drugs bust case investigation.
After interrogating Sameer Wankhede for over four hours on Wednesday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said that the agency's Mumbai zonal director would continue to lead the cruise ship drugs bust case investigation until substantial information is found against him in the vigilance probe over extortion charge. Sameer Wankhede was questioned today. He submitted case related documents that were sought. If needed, he'll be questioned further. Sameer Wankhede was questioned by a team of the NCB, under the leadership of Deputy Director General Gyaneshwar Singh, for over four hours as a part of the vigilance probe that has been initiated against him following allegations that he had asked for a bribe of Rs 25 crore to release Aryan Khan.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
