
Sachin Vaze not cooperating, been unable to interrogate him: NIA tells Mumbai court

NIA told the court that Sachin Vaze has not been cooperating with the investigation, because of which it has been unable to interrogate him.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday told a local court in Mumbai that suspended Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze has not been cooperating with it in its investigation. The NIA said it has hence not been able to interrogate him. The NIA arrested Sachin Vaze, an assistant sub-inspector in the Mumbai Police, over his suspected role in the bomb scare outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani's house Antilia and the mysterious death of a Thane-based businessman Mansukh Hiren. In February, an explosives-laden SUV was found parked outside Mukesh Ambani's Mumbai house. Twenty unassembled gelatin sticks and a threat letter were found inside it.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
