S.P. Velumani campaigns for AIADMK's Amman K. Arjunan in Coimbatore South, emphasizing local representation and past project successes.
Former Minister S.P. Velumani on Wednesday campaigned in support of AIADMK’s candidate for Coimbatore South Amman K. Arjunan, asking whether people wanted a local candidate or a candidate from outside, in an apparent reference to DMK’s V. Senthilbalaji.
He sought vote for the two leaves symbol at Edayar Street in the city and stated that it was Mr. Arjunan, who implemented a maximum number of projects in this constituency. He alleged no projects had been implemented in Coimbatore over the past five years, adding that it was the AIADMK that gave start to a large number of Smart City works and flyovers in the city.
He stated that houses were built for the poor during the AIADMK regime but DMK members are now selling those houses.
Mr. Arjunan and other AIADMK candidates sought votes in their respective constituencies on Wednesday.
