RPSG Group Chairman Sanjiv Goenka receives honorary doctorate from Kolkata's St Xavier’s University

Dr Goenka is the chairman of the USD 7 billion RP Sanjiv Goenka Group. The Group has more than 45,000 employees worldwide and over 5,00,000 shareholders.
Dr Sanjiv Goenka, the chairman of RPSG Group, was bestowed with the degree of Doctor of Literature, Honoris Causa 2022, by Kolkata's St Xavier’s University on Saturday, March 5.
This is the fourth honorary doctorate degree awarded to Dr Goenka. Before this, University of North Bengal awarded Degree of Doctor of Literature (Honoris Causa D Litt) in 2018 to Dr Goenka.
In December 2019, Dr Goenka was awarded Doctorate in Philosophy Honoris Causa from Amity University. He was also awarded a doctorate in Business Management from Xavier University Bhubaneswar on October 30, 2019.

Dr Goenka is the chairman of the USD 7 billion RP Sanjiv Goenka Group. The Group has more than 45,000 employees worldwide and over 5,00,000 shareholders. The Group's businesses span several sectors, like power and natural resources, carbon black, information technology, retail, FMCG, education, media, entertainment and sports.
In April 2001, Dr Goenka took over as the youngest-ever president of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-KGP).
Dr Goenka is a former President of the All India Management Association (AIMA) and was the youngest president of the Indian Chamber of Commerce.
