A main road in Inuvik, N.W.T., is closed and water is shut off for part of the town after a utilidor leak.
Residents posted photos to social media of the leak on Thursday, which flooded a large part of Mackenzie Road.
"The road is currently closed for safety reasons," a social media post from the Town of Inuvik said on Thursday afternoon.
Mackenzie Road is closed between the library and Northmart.
The water is also shut off for some residents while utilidor repairs take place.

When the Métis Nutcracker opens this weekend in St. Catharines, Ont., playwright Matthew MacKenzie hopes the audience will get swept away in the magical realism of the show – while also learning about colonialism, the war in Ukraine and the cultures of several Indigenous communities from Turtle Island.
