Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) chief Upendra Kushwaha on Sunday announced that his party is going to merge with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United). Kushwaha announced the decision while addressing a presser in Patna, Bihar, Sunday afternoon. The development was announced after RLSP's national executive committee authorised Kushwaha to decide on the future course of the party.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
