After the RJD's poor performance in the Bihar Legislative Council poll, rivals parties have called Tejashwi Yadav a failure in politics.
Tejashwi Yadav has come under attack from rival parties after Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) performed disastrously, winning just six out of 23 seats it contested in the just-concluded biennial elections to the 24 Legislative Council seats from the urban local bodies and Panchayati Raj Institutions in the state on Thursday.
Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Aawam Morcha has called Tejashwi 'a complete failure in politics and demanded that Lalu Prasad hands over the reins of the party to his elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav.'
Hindustani Awam Morcha spokesperson Danish Rizwan said Tejashwi failed to clear Class 10 exams, then he failed as a cricketer and now also proved to be a failure in politics.
Rizwan said Lalu Prasad should instead send Tejashwi Yadav to Rajya Sabha so that he could do politics through the back door and instead hand over the command of the party to Tej Pratap.
"NDA's victory in the Legislative Council Elections has once again proved that Tejashwi was a complete failure in politics. The RJD has lost all the elections that it has fought under the leadership of Tejashwi Yadav. Lalu should send him to Rajya Sabha and make Tej Pratap the head of the party if it wants to perform well in the future," Danish Rizwan said.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said.
