Retired police personnel were honored during Police Flag Day celebrations across multiple districts, highlighting their service and dedication.
Scores of retired police personnel were felicitated during the Police Flag Day celebrations organised in various places of Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, Uttara Kannada and Davangere districts on Thursday.
Speaking at the Police Flag Day celebrations at the DAR (District Armed Reserve Police) Parade Grounds in Dharwad on Thursday, retired Sub-Inspector of Police D. Chamundeshwari said that the Police Department stands as a symbol of sacrifice, discipline and time management.
“The discipline, social commitment and punctuality of police personnel enhance the dignity of the force,” she said.
She said that if personnel remember and follow the lessons, rules and values they learn on joining the department throughout their service until retirement, their service will become meaningful and fulfilling.
