Earlier on Tuesday (March 3), the DMK allotted one Rajya Sabha seat to the DMDK as part of its alliance arrangement. The move will give the party founded by late actor Vijayakant its first representation in the Upper House despite not having any legislators in the current Tamil Nadu Assembly.
