Rajasthan's folk artists come together virtually to showcase their art

Under a unique initiative, an NGO has brought together 70 folk artists from Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Bikaner virtually so that they can showcase their art.
Hundreds of folk artists and their art forms, in arid lands of Rajasthan, continue to reel under the adverse impact of the Coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic hugely affected the already meagre earnings of these artists who belong to Rajasthan's different districts faraway from the state capital, including Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Bikaner. It meant that these folk artists, who, for decades, were dependent on their art to make a living, had little or nothing in terms of earnings as stage performances and presentations came to a sudden halt. However, a unique initiative has meant that these artists, even during the pandemic, have got an opportunity to showcase their art.More Related News
