Rajasthan Police has arrested two men of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang from Sri Ganganagar district.
Rajasthan Police on Friday arrested two men of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang from Sri Ganganagar district.
They were allegedly involved in a case demanding extortion money from a trader in Sri Ganganagar.
One more accused was being searched for by the police. A search operation was being carried out in the fields of 5 LNP in Sri Ganganagar district.
The operation was being carried out by Sri Ganganagar police on the direction of Superintendent of Police (SP) Anand Sharma.
WHO IS LAWRENCE BISHNOI
Lawrence Bishnoi is a graduate and is a resident of Punjab’s Firozepur. Bishnoi completed his LLB from Panjab University and started getting involved in illegal activities. Some of the early cases against him were lodged in Chandigarh and other states.
Bishnoi and his gang, which includes professional shooters, operate from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh, and their network is spread across the globe.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
