
Rajasthan HC seeks reply from Gehlot govt in mayor suspension case

The Jaipur Municipal Corporation, Greater, Mayor was accused of using inappropriate language against the Commissioner and manhandling him with the councillors.
The Rajasthan High Court on Thursday, while hearing the case regarding the suspension of the Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation mayor, sought a reply from the state government and the local self-governance department in the case. The counsel for the suspended mayor, Dr Somya Gurjar, put forth arguments in the case on Thursday after which a reply was sought from the state government. The government counsel had sought time in the matter. The court has scheduled the next hearing in the case for Friday, June 11. The matter was heard by a double bench of Justices Pankaj Bhandari and CK Songara of the Rajasthan High Court.More Related News
