
Rajasthan Governor’s biography launch embroiled in controversy, Raj Bhavan says no role in marketing

The Vice Chancellors of 27 state universities who had attended the launch of Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra’s biography were given 19 copies of the book along with a bill receipt of Rs 68,383 for the same. Rajasthan Raj Bhavan has, however, denied any role in marketing of the book.
The launch of Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra’s biography ‘Kalraj Mishra: I am just a medium’ has become embroiled in a controversy after the Vice Chancellor of 27 state universities who had attended the launch were saddled with 19 copies of the biography along with a bill receipt of Rs 68,383. The Raj Bhavan has, however, denied any role in marketing of the book. , , 2/2 The biography was launched on July 1 at the Raj Bhavan in Jaipur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Dr CP Joshi, Vice Chancellors of 27 state universities were amongst the invitees for the book launch.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
