Punjab imposes night curfew between 10 pm and 5 am amid rise in Covid-19 cases in the state.
The state government in Punjab has decided to impose night curfew starting from 10 pm to 5 am on January 4 amid rising Covid-19 infection in the state. All movement for non-essential activities will remain prohibited.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
