Farmers' protest has already completed more than 100 days at Delhi borders, but the agitation is now strategically moving to different states. The most significant of those is West Bengal which is in the grip of election fever and at the same time, the Sanyukt Kisaan Morcha is going to organise four mahapanchayats in three days this weekend. It is all about sending political message through these rallies, especially in the areas which are predominantly known for the farmers' agitation in the past. Hence, the location in West Bengal have been kept in areas like Nandigram and Singur along with two different mahapanchayats in capital Kolkata. While talking to India Today on Thursday, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait explained the motive behind the West Bengal rallies in the time when political temperature is already high in the state.
