
Protesting farmers allow two-wheelers at Tikri, say 'no free movement of traffic unless farm laws rolled back'

“We are not agreeing on four-wheelers and other heavy vehicles due to the security of those camping at the protest site. However two-wheelers will be allowed,” a farm leader said.
After Delhi Police removed barricades at Tikri and Ghazipur borders, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) said on Saturday it “won’t allow free flow movement of traffic unless farm laws are rolled back”. However, the protesting farmers opened up a section of a blocked road at Tikri to leave 5 feet space for two-wheelers and ambulances.
On Thursday and Friday, Delhi Police removed barricades and barbed wires from farmers' protest sites at Ghazipur and Tikri borders. They were installed 10 months ago to stop farmers, who were protesting against the Centre's three farm laws, from marching towards the national capital.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
