Pro-Palestinian JFK protests: Letters to the Editor — Jan. 3, 2024

The Issue: The protest at JFK airport where pro-Palestinian demonstrators blocked traffic.
A caravan of pro-Palestinian protesters in cars stopped people on the Belt Parkway trying to make their way to JFK airport (“Air traffic jam,” Dec. 2).
I thought that it was a crime to stop traffic in this manner, akin to that of all the other unlawful protests throughout the city — disrupting holiday events, blocking streets, defacing public property and assaulting police officers.
These protests are hotbeds for such crimes and thus should be halted immediately.Mayor Adams and Gov. Hochul should allow the NYPD to arrest everyone involved and put an end to these protests once and for all.

Imagine if Allied intelligence had located Adolf Hitler in late May 1944 and killed him before the Normandy invasion. Imagine that in the same hour, strikes eliminated Hitler’s designated successor, the head of the German Armed Forces High Command, the chief operational planner of the war effort, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, responsible for defending Western Europe, and the rest of Germany’s field marshals and senior commanders.
