President approves bill granting states power to identify SEBCs, paves way to reverse Maratha quota order

The President has given assent to the 105th Constitutional amendment bill to grant states power to identify socio-economic backward classes (SEBCs).

The President has given assent to the 105th Constitutional amendment bill to grant states power to identify socio-economic backward classes (SEBCs). The assent now paves the way to reverse the Supreme Court verdict in the Maratha reservation case where it had said that states cannot identify SEBCs and only the President can do so.
