
Prashant Kishor asked to join Congress, presents 2024 roadmap: Report

Poll strategist Prashant Kishor was reportedly asked by the Congress to join the party on Saturday. He gave a detailed presentation on the party's strategies for the upcoming 2024 elections.
The Congress party has asked poll strategist Prashant Kishore to join the party, said sources. This came after Prashant gave a detailed presentation on the 2024 Lok Sabha elections during the meeting of top Congress leaders at party president Sonia Gandhi's residence on Saturday.
A highly placed source, who wished not to be quoted, said, "Prashant Kishor may join Congress. He will not be used as a consultant, rather he has been asked to join the party and work as a leader. He gave a detailed presentation about the roadmap and organisational changes needed in the run up to the 2024 Lok Sabha poll."
Senior Congress leader KC Venugopal said, "Prashant Kishor gave a presentation on the 2024 elections, which will be looked at by a small group of party leaders. The Congress president will decide on who will lead the group."
According to sources, Prashant Kishore also discussed strategies for upcoming Assembly polls in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
