Posters criticising Aligarh Muslim University's Vice Chancellor Tariq Mansoor appeared on the campus after he condoled the death of former UP CM Kalyan Singh. The posters have now been removed.
Posters critical of Aligarh Muslim University's Vice Chancellor Tariq Mansoor appeared on the campus after he expressed condolences on the death of former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh. The university is trying to find out the persons behind the act. AMU Proctor Prof Mohammed Wasim Ali told India Today, "Posters appeared in Aligarh Muslim University against VC Prof Tariq Mansoor for condoling the death of former UP CM Kalyan Singh, on the intervening night of August 23-24. When it came to my knowledge, I got the posters removed."
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
