A Rockland County postal worker was arrested for allegedly violently shoving a 4-year-old Jewish boy to the ground in a shocking caught-on-camera attack.
Horrifying security footage obtained by The Monsey Scoop captured the young boy approaching a parked mail truck when the ruthless 39-year-old USPS carrier suddenly turned and aggressively pushed him onto the sidewalk of a Ramapo neighborhood Thursday night.
The callous worker returned to his truck as the small child, knocked onto his back, got up and retrieved his yarmulke that had flown off his head during the violent outburst before walking away, the video showed.
The unidentified mailman was reportedly screaming at nearby children before the youngster approached.
Ramapo police said the Stony Point man was cuffed Friday and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and attempted assault in the third degree, both misdemeanors.
The attack sparked outrage from local leaders in the predominantly Hasidic and Orthodox Jewish community, who condemned the suspect for harming a child and praised cops for their swift action.
