Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 108-feet statue of Hanuman in Morbi, Gujarat on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. It is the second of the four statues being set up in 4 parts of the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, April 16, unveiled a 108-feet statue of Hanuman in Morbi, Gujarat through video conferencing, on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
This statue is the second of the four statues being set up in 4 parts of the country, as part of the Hanumanji Char Dham project.

The Prime Minister also posted a message on Twitter stating, "Today, we mark the special occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. In Morbi, at 11 AM, a 108 feet statue of Hanuman ji will be inaugurated. I am honoured to be getting the opportunity to be a part of this programme via video conferencing."

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
