
PM Modi to address AI Summit today; French President, UN chief among key speakers

The AI Impact Summit in New Delhi has drawn unprecedented global participation, including over 20 heads of state, 60 ministers, and 500 global AI leaders.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the India AI Impact Summit 2026 on Thursday, an event expected to bring together more than 500 leaders from the field of artificial intelligence. At the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister will address the gathering, which will also feature speeches by French President Emmanuel Macron and United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.
After attending the opening session at around 9.40 am, he will also visit the AI Impact Expo at the summit along with other leaders at about 11 am, where they will tour various country pavilions, the government said in a statement.
According to his busy schedule at the Summit, the Prime Minister will then participate in the Leaders’ Plenary from around 12 noon onwards. The session will bring together Heads of State, ministers, and senior representatives from multilateral institutions to outline national and global priorities on artificial intelligence, including governance, infrastructure, and international cooperation.
Thereafter, the Prime Minister will take part in a CEO roundtable from 5.30 pm onwards, where senior executives from global technology and industry firms will engage with government leadership to discuss investment, research collaboration, supply chains, and the deployment of AI systems.
The world’s largest artificial intelligence summit, which began on February 16 in New Delhi, has witnessed significant global participation. The event is bringing together more than 500 AI leaders, including CEOs and CXOs, around 100 founders and chief executives, 150 academicians and researchers, and nearly 400 CTOs, vice presidents, and philanthropists.
It is also engaging over 100 government representatives, including more than 20 Heads of State and Government, as well as around 60 ministers and vice ministers from across the world.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
