
PM Modi takes stock of work done in BJP-ruled states at CM conference in Varanasi

On Tuesday, PM Modi held a meeting with the chief ministers of BJP-ruled states in Varanasi. The discussion was centred on developmental projects, governance in the states and the upcoming polls.
On Tuesday afternoon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with the chief ministers of BJP-ruled states. The meeting, held in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, was attended by fourteen chief ministers and deputy chief ministers. The meeting went on for about four and a half hours. Each of the chief ministers gave a presentation on their respective states.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
