
PM Modi security lapse in Punjab: Ferozepur SSP suspended

The Union Home Ministry sought an immediate report from the state government and strict action against those responsible.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Punjab's Ferozepur has been placed under suspension after Prime Minister Narendra Modi was stranded on a flyover for 20 minutes due to a blockade by protesters on Wednesday. SSP Harman Hans has been suspended after the incident.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
