
Petrol, Diesel prices today: No revision in fuel rates on March 4 | Here's what you need to pay in your city

For around three months in a row, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel across major Indian cities. Check the latest city-wise rates here.
The prices of petrol and diesel have maintained stability on Friday, March 3, 2022. The oil marketing companies have not increased fuel prices in the country since November 2021. However, the rise in crude oil prices may increase retail fuel prices and could create inflationary pressure, experts have warned.
The Central government slashed the excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10, respectively, on the eve of Diwali last year, and since then, fuel rates are stable.
In Delhi, petrol is retailing at Rs 95.41 per litre and diesel costs Rs 86.67 per litre. In India's financial capital, Mumbai, a November 4 cut reduced the price of petrol to Rs 109.98. Diesel costs Rs 94.14 per litre in the city at present.
In Kolkata, the prices of petrol and diesel have remained unchanged at Rs 104.67 and Rs 89.79, respectively. The November 4 decline took the prices of petrol and diesel down to Rs 101.40 per litre and Rs 91.43 per litre in Chennai.

The prices of petrol and diesel have remained unchanged in most of the cities for three months in a row. In Uttar Pradesh's Agra, petrol is retailing at Rs 95.05 per litre and people have to shell out Rs 86.56 for one litre of diesel.
The petrol price is below the Rs 100 mark in Kanpur and Ghaziabad. In Kanpur, the prices of petrol and diesel stood at Rs 95.23 per litre and Rs 86.49 per litre, respectively.
