
Pedestrian dead after vehicle crashes into building: Toronto police

A pedestrian is dead after a vehicle crashed into a building in Toronto, said police.
Officers responded around 2:28 p.m. near Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue W. to “reports of a vehicle into a building,” said Toronto police on social media.
They said a pedestrian was struck and trapped in the collision and first responders were working to extract the man.
Toronto paramedics told CBC News one person was pronounced dead at the scene with police later confirming that it was the male pedestrian.
A female pedestrian was taken to hospital via trauma run and another pedestrian was transported for non-life threatening injuries, said police.
They added that the driver remained at the scene. The driver and a passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries, said police.
