A Pawan Hans helicopter crash-landed in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Tuesday after a mid-air snag, with all seven people on board rescued safely and no injuries reported.
According to a Pawan Hans spokesperson, the helicopter had taken off from Port Blair around 9.30 am carrying two crew members and five passengers when it experienced a “short landing incident” near Mayabunder, news agency ANI reported.
Emergency response teams reached the site promptly and evacuated all occupants safely.
The incident comes just a day after a fatal air ambulance crash in Jharkhand that killed all seven people on board.
Authorities confirmed that the Beechcraft C90 aircraft, operated by Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd, went down in Chatra district on Monday night while flying a medical evacuation mission from Ranchi to Delhi.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
