Patna opens second dedicated Covid-19 facility at IGIMS

In view of the surge in Covid-19 cases across Bihar, a second Covid-19 dedicated facility has been opened in Patna at IGIMS hospital. The facility will have a capacity of 50 ICU and 100 oxygen beds.
In wake of the surge in the virus cases, a second Covid-19 facility will now become operational in Bihar’s capital city from Saturday. Patna’s Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) will now function as a dedicated Covid-19 facility, with a capacity of 50 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 100 oxygen beds. Dr. Manish Mandal, medical superintendent of IGIMS, said that the hospital has added 30 additional oxygen beds to its existing resource. The facility now has 50 ICU beds and 100 oxygen beds. Dr Mandal further added that "We are planning to further increase our bed capacity as we have the ability of other resources needed for better patient care.”More Related News
