Patient feared dead as fire erupts at ICU ward in Delhi’s Brahm Shakti Hospital

A fire broke out at the ICU ward of Brahm Shakti Hospital in Delhi’s Rohini on Saturday. A patient is suspected to have died in the blaze.

One person is suspected to have died after a fire broke out at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ward of Brahm Shakti Hospital in Delhi’s Rohini on Saturday.

Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg said nine fire tenders were rushed to the hospital to douse the blaze. Those inside the building were safely evacuated, except one person who was on ventilator. It is believed that the patient has died, he said.

The fire has been extinguished and cooling operations are ongoing.
