The police have detained a man for flying a paraglider in Haryana's Fatehabad without permission.
The police in Haryana's Fatehabad district detained a man on Tuesday for flying a paraglider without permission in the area.
According to the police, a paraglider was seen flying in Fatehad for several hours before it crash landed on a tree. As soon as the driver of the paraglider came down from the tree, he was taken into custody by the police.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Paramjeet, a resident of Jalandhar. He was part of a group which had hired a paraglider from Ludhiana in Punjab for Rs 45,000 to shower flowers on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti.
However, the police said they did not take the permission to fly the paraglider.
Fatehabad police station in-charge Surendra Singh said a paraglider was flying in the sky. The paraglider crashed but there was no loss of life and property, he said.
Appropriate action will be taken by the police in this matter, Surendra Singh said.
