Panchaganga Express to continue to run with five additional coaches for a month

Panchaganga Express extends service with five additional coaches for one month, ensuring convenient travel from Bengaluru to Karwar.
KSR Bengaluru-Karwar-KSR Bengaluru Panchaganga Express, that were temporarily augmented from June 11, will continue to run with five additional coaches for one more month, till March first week.
Train No. 16595, KSR Bengaluru-Karwar Panchaganga Express would run with additional coaches till March 1 while its pairing service, Train No. 16596 Karwar-KSR Bengaluru Panchaganga Express would run with additional coaches till March 2, according to a release by Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd.
The Railways had augmented two 3-tier AC Economy, two general second class and one second class sleeper coaches from June 11 from Bengaluru-end and from June 12 from Karwar-end. The addition was to off-set non-availability of day-train services that were cancelled on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru/Karwar sector for executing Railway Electrification on Subrahmanya Road-Sakleshpur Ghat section of Mangaluru-Hassan line.
On October 28, the Railways decided to continue to run the services with additional coaches till February 2. Before the temporary augmentation in June, Panchaganga Express was operated with 14 LHB coaches, one first AC-cum-2-tier AC, one 2-tier AC, one 3-tier AC, seven sleeper class, two general second class, one luggage-cum-brake van and one generator car coaches.
