AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday (May 26, 2025) mocked Pakistan’s leadership after Pakistan’s newly promoted Field Marshal Asim Munir reportedly gifted a ‘fake’ photograph to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at a dinner event in Islamabad a few days ago.
During an interaction with the Indian diaspora in Kuwait, Mr. Owaisi stated, “Yesterday, the Pakistani Army chief gifted a photo to the Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif... these stupid jokers want to compete with India, they had given a photograph of a 2019 Chinese Army drill claiming it is a victory over India.”
The MP further remarked on Pakistan’s credibility, saying, “This is what Pakistan indulges in... ‘Nakal karne ke liye akal chahiye’... inke pass akal bhi nahi hai’... whatever Pakistan is saying, do not take even with a pinch of salt.”
Mr. Owaisi’s comments came as part of a broader multi-party Indian parliamentary delegation visit to Kuwait. The delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, includes several prominent legislators: Nishikant Dubey (BJP), Phangnon Konyak (BJP), Rekha Sharma (BJP), Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM), Satnam Singh Sandhu, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and Ambassador Harsh Shringla.
The delegation’s primary objective is to brief international partners on India’s response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and communicate the country’s broader strategy in combating cross-border terrorism.
