
Over 30 people in hospital after bus-truck collision near Andhra's Nellore

Over 30 passengers were seriously injured after a bus collided with a truck near Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district. The injured have been shifted to Nellore hospital for treatment. The condition of a woman passenger is said to be critical.
Several people were injured after a bus carrying a passenger collided with a truck on the Kolkata-Chennai national highway in Nellore. The incident occurred near Ramachandra Reddy Nagar, a small hamlet in Buchireddypalem Mandal in Andhra Pradesh's Nellore district.
The speeding bus carrying passengers hit a parked truck from behind and rolled down the fields. More than 30 passengers on board the bus received serious injuries and were shifted to hospital.
The condition of a woman passenger is said to be critical. Soon after the accident, police and locals rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
All the injured were shifted to the Nellore hospital for treatment. A case was also registered regarding this accident and further investigation is going on.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
