A herd of elephants strayed into a village in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpuri Kheri, causing damage to crops. There are 2730 tuskers in the herd. In a video shared by news agency ANI, the elephants tramp on crops in an agricultural field as local residents watch on.

"They come every year, stay for four to five days, and leave. But this time it's been over a month and they're spoiling farms," Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) SK Vishwal was quoted as saying by ANI.
According to the forest official, a newborn elephant is part of the herd and the tuskers might leave once it is able to walk.
"They've just had a baby and will hopefully leave after it can walk," DFO Vishwal said.
