
Out on bail, Delhi man threatens to kill PM Modi to go back to jail

In order to return to jail, a Delhi man allegedly made a phone call with a death threat to PM Narendra Modi. He has been arrested.
A 22-year-old man was arrested in Delhi's Khajuri Khas after he allegedly made a phone call with a death threat to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was reportedly out on bail and wanted to go back to jail. The man, identified as Salman, made the death threat call to the police last night. The arrested accused dialed the police and said, "I want to kill Modi [PM Modi]" Following the call, police apprehended him from northeast Delhi's Khajuri Khas area in Delhi and brought him to the police station for questioning. During interrogation, the man said he made the call because he wanted to go to jail.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
