
Operation Hercules: Army, IAF prepare for winter deployment amid Ladakh standoff

In a joint exercise on Wednesday, the Indian Army and Air Force tested the logistics supply ahead of winter deployment amid the standoff with China in eastern Ladakh.
The Indian Army and Air Force carried out a joint exercise to assess their logistics supply chain. This exercise was held at a time when the Indian armed forces are preparing for another winter of enhanced deployment of over 50,000 troops in Ladakh amid continuing tensions with China.
The aim of this high intensity airlift was to strengthen the supply chain in the Northern sector and augment winter stocking in operational areas, a statement from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent.
