One injured in fresh firing by Assam Police along Bilaipur border, says Mizoram

Mizoram on Tuesday alleged that Assam Police opened fire along the border at Bilaipur around 1 am on Monday night, leaving one of its civilians injured.

Three weeks after violent clashes broke out at the Assam-Mizoram border, which left six Assam policemen dead, tensions escalated again on Tuesday along the disputed inter-state boundary over an alleged firing incident. Mizoram has alleged that Assam police opened fire along the border at Bilaipur around 1 am on Monday night, injuring one of its civilians.
