
One dead, five injured in textile factory explosion in Maharashtra’s Palghar

‘The incident occured around six in the morning’
One person was charred to death and five others were injured, some of them seriously, in an explosion and fire at a textile factory in Tarapur industrial area of Maharashtra's Palghar district early on September 4, an official said. Palghar district Disaster Management Cell chief Vivekanand Kadam said the incident occurred around 6 am. The sound of the explosion was so loud that it was heard four to five kilometers away. The explosion triggered a major fire at the unit located in Tarapur Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Boisar, he said.More Related News
