Among the new restrictions, functions in closed auditoriums can have a maximum of 75 people, while functions in open spaces can have upto 150 people.
The Kerala government on Tuesday, January 4, declared that stricter restrictions would be imposed in the state. This decision has been taken to curb the spread of Covid-19 and its variants.
The decision to impose stricter restrictions was taken after a high-level meeting was held on Tuesday.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
